Dan Felean presented at the August 2001 LawNet annual conference

Topic:
Internal PrivatePortals: how law departments can leverage an Intranet to better serve the internal client

Date & Time:
August 28, 2001,
3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Event:
LawNet 2001 Annual Conference

Location:
La Quinta Resort, La Quinta, CA

Description:
Most law offices think of an intranet as a platform for delivering information to lawyers and an extranet as a separate device to work with outside counsel. However, the greatest information demands and pressures on the law department often come from the internal offices, divisions and departments that are its clients. By creating an extranet portal into the law department intranet, a law department can leverage its daily information environment to improve efficiency, increase collaboration and provide better internal client service. This session will explore the capabilities of an intranet extranet portal to include the critical elements, such as personalization, standardization, contribution, consumption, workflow and monitoring.

This upcoming presentation will be made by Dan Felean, Senior Consultant and Director of Business Relations, PensEra Knowledge Technologies, at the corporate and government law department track of LawNet. The presentation will be posted on the PensEra web site after the August event.
